Fire Baby

They tried to burn you, not knowing you were born from the fire. You’re a fire baby. You’re fire, baby!

I just got out of meditation and the words fire baby kept coming to mind. Tonight was one of those meditations that I focused on my clients. Despite the fact that today was self-care Saturday, I felt compelled to think of my clients. And some of them are dealing with some heavy issues. But I have to remind them that to date, they’re still here, and living life on their own terms. Sure they tried to burn you, but you’re still here.

They don’t determine the heat in your heart. They can’t dictate your future. Only you can do that. Events and people may come against you, but this is your chance to decide the outcome. Will you focus or fold? Will you build or be broken? Call on your faith, call on your family or in my clients case, they call on me. Whatever your preferred method to deal, deal. You picking up what I am laying down? Don’t give in. Don’t give up!

You may have lost a relationship, job, money, lawsuit or even part of your health. But here you are reading….not giving up. And why? Because you’re a fire baby. You’re fire, baby. And don’t you ever fucking forget it. So let them try and set your world on fire. Because you already learned to burn. They can’t hurt you.
