Amanda Seales, formerly known as Amanda Diva is 5′ 6″ (1.68 m) and was born on July 1st, 1981 in Los Angeles California. Amanda is a Comedian, a host, a DJ, a content creator, and much more. Amanda moved to Orlando at age 8 and attended Dr. Phillips High School, before going to SUNY Purchase for undergrad then acquiring her master’s degree in African American studies with a concentration in hip hop from Columbia University.

Seales appeared on television starring as Katy in the 1993 movie, Cop and a Half. In 1994, she starred on the now cult famous Nickelodeon sitcom, My Brother and Me and starred in the role of Deonne. In 2002, she showed up on Russell Simmons’ Def Poetry Jam. Seales ended up being openly known as “VJ Amanda Diva” on MTV2 Sucker Free Countdown on Sundays,though spending some time as a recording artist and spoken word poet. In 2011 she changed her name from Amanda Diva back to Amanda Seales, also returning to television and soon after adding standup comedy to her credits.

In 2016, she appeared in a recurring role in the HBO series Insecure, as Tiffany DuBois. Seales also started facilitating her own show on truTV called, Greatest Ever.

On January 6, 2020, she was declared as a perpetual co-host of the syndicated daytime talk show, The Real, alongside Jeannie Mai, Adrienne Houghton, Tamera Mowry-Housley, and Loni Love. Seales also hosts a weekly podcast titled, Small Doses

She is the CEO of Diva Works Inc, her production company under which she performs and produces smart funny content for the stage and screen. She is very involved in work targeting the empowerment of young women, the end of racial discrimination, and is the social media ambassador for her mother’s home island of Grenada.

Her father is African American and her mother was born and raised in Mt. Moritz, Grenada. Both Amanda and her mother are dual citizens of the United States and Grenada.

She has an estimated net worth of $3 million which she has earned through her successful career as an American actress, comedian, author, disc jockey, recording artist, and television personality.

I Be Knowin’ is an HBO comedy special that premiered on January 26, 2019. It is a one-hour special with a portion of the features being aggregate into insights among her and the crowd on men who request women to smile on the street, white women and dark hair, improvised cheer and stepping routines, in addition to an energizing version of the Negro National Anthem, “Lift Every Voice and Sing.” I Be Knowin’ is a balance of a lesson, TED Talk, and poetry slam.
