Every night, I burn a candle, incense or some sage before bedtime. I have some soft meditative music on and close my eyes. I breathe deep and begin to create. I bless silently those who I had a chance to serve, and pray for those who I didn’t get to help. I ask to be led to the people and places where I am supposed to be. I seek the courage to withstand the problems that I must facilitate on behalf of my clients. I then turn to my attention to my corner.
I begin to see where I need to make improvements. I start to focus on the changes that must be made internally, so I can better evolve. I surround my wife, family and friends with love and protection. I speak blessings of good health into their lives. I ask that lessons can be learned through love and wisdom, rather than pain and fear. I enlarge my vision to include my many social media friends, as we have joined each other on this journey.
The last thing I do is affirm myself. I forgive and encourage in spoken word, thought and movement. And of all the many names and hats I answer to and wear during the course of the day, I remind myself who I truly am. And that is, I am a modern day mystic. And this life is sacred. There is nothing that I do not appreciate.
